TORONTO'S WASTE MANAGEMENT
Keele Valley Landfill

 

     Keele Valley is a small city, which is located near the city of Vaughan, Ontario. It use to be Torontos only sanitary active landfill site, but unfortunately its no more, but it has served all of Torontos, York Regions, and Durham Regions, expectations.

When Torontos waste disposal began on November 28th 1983 over 26 million tones Torontos waste has been transported to Keele Valley landfill site. It was scheduled to close in late December 2002, over contract problems, and because it was all filling up.

Currently Toronto is sending its waste over across to Michigan for land filling.
